1 - registrations

Who can register ?

The race is open to all runners, with or without an athletics licenses, born in 2000 or earlier.

FFA licensed runners will need to present their 2018-2019 sports license proving that a medical certificate was issued within the year prior to the date of the race.

Non-licensed runners will need to submit a medical certificate, also issued within the year prior to race day, which stipulates no contraindication to racing in competition.

How can I pay for my registration ?

You can pay by credit or debit card (with a secure online payment system), the easiest and fastest way to register, in which case you will be on the runner’s list the day after your registration.

Or you can pay by cheque, in which case we will record your registration and assign you a race number once we have received your cheque by mail.

Do I need a medical certificate ?

Most definitely yes to participate, unless you have an athletic license that will be valid on the day of the race.

Only the following licenses are accepted: Athlé Compétition FFA, Athlé Entreprise FFA, Athlé Compétition FFA, Pass’ Running FFA, FFTri, FSGT, FSCF, UGSEL and UNSS.

If you do not have one of these licenses, you must provide us with a medical certificate that specifies no contraindication to racing (or athletics) in competition, and was issued within the year preceding the date of the race. See an example.

How can I get a Preferential race number ?

In order to qualify for race number in the « Preferential 1 » or « Preferential 2 » division, you need to provide proof of a qualifying time that was established in the past 2 years in a race of at least 20km.

Based on a race distance of 20km, the qualifying times are the following:

– Preferential 1 : -1h21 Men, -1h31 Women
– Preferential 2 : -1h35 Men, –1h45 Women

How can I register as a physically disabled athlete ?

You can now register online, through the « Register » section of our website. You will be contacted by our registration team for confirmation.

Registrations are closed, but I want to be in. What can I do ?

2 - the race

What is the date of the « 20 Kilomètres de Paris » 2019 ?

The 41st edition of the « 20 Kilomètres de Paris » will take place on Sunday, October 13th, 2019.

Where and when does the race start and finish?

The start is on the Pont d’Iéna, facing the Eiffel Tower, at 10h00. The finish will be at the bottom of the Eiffel Tower.

We advise you to come to the time of convocation indicated on your withdrawal ticket to ensure easy access to the departure SAS.

What is the best way to get to the race ?

We highly recommend that you take public transportation :

– RER C : « Champs de mars – Tour Eiffel »
– Métro : Bir Hakeim (l.6) or Trocadéro (l.6 and l.9)

Please note that there are no parking place for cars close to the race area.

What is the route of the race ?

Runners will first make their way through the streets of the capital. All the informations are here.

Do you have lockers for my stuff during the race ?

On the Emile ANTOINE stadium, free lockers will be available. Close to the start and finish lines, they will allow you to drop your bags before the race and collect them after the race, upon presentation of your ticket deposit.

Bag deposit schedules with instructions: Sunday from 7:30 to 11:00 depending on availability.

What about the refreshments ?

Refreshments will be provided at the 6KM, 10KM, 15KM as well as at the finish line. You will find water, dried and fresh fruits and sugar.

3 - Race number pick up

Where and when is the race number pick-up ?

At the runner’s Village, located Place Joffre, 75007 Paris (in front of the Ecole Militaire).

The Village will be open on Friday 12th from 10h00 to 20h00  and Saturday 13th, from 10h00 to 19h00.

Remember : no race number pick-up on Sunday, before the race!

Can I get my race number by post mail ?

The postal option service  is closed

If you live in the Paris region or in another country, the bibs are collected exclusively at the Village on Fridays or Saturdays.

You can also ask someone to pick it up for you, along with a copy of your ID and the withdrawal certificate.

Can I pick up a friend’s race number at the « 20 Kilomètres de Paris » runners’ Village?

Yes, as long as you have his ID card with you (and a photocopy), his race number voucher, as well as his medical certificate if this has not already been submitted.

4 - Results

How does the timing system works ?

A timing chip will be sticked on your race number : do not detach, fold or cover it !

To ensure reliable results and split times, ChronoTrack timing mats will be placed every 5 kilometres:  at the start, the 5km mark, the 10km mark, the 15km mark and the finish line.

If you do not run the entire race on the road and through the timing mats, you will be disqualified.

When will I have my results ?

A few hours after the race, on www.20kmparis.com, you will get an access to your results and temporary ranking.

Definitive and official results will be published only one week after the race.

What are the awards ?

Prizes for the firsts Men, Women and Wheelchair Handisport with scratch only, and for every runner, a tee-shirt, a medal and a personalized diploma.
