The race course highlights the most beautiful places in Western Paris (Eiffel Tower, Trocadero, Arc de Triomphe, Bois de Boulogne, Roland Garros, Maison de la Radio, Grand Palais, Tuileries, Pont Royal, Berges Rive Gauche…) while guaranteeing a high level of safety.

The Bands play an extremely important role in the race as they create a tremendous atmosphere both for the runners and the spectators. They provide energy and help to lift the runners’ spirits.

The organization of the start area and the 23 waves of departure launched every 3 minutes will ensure an excellent fluidity without traffic jams on the first kilometers and without congestion in the finish area!

Drink and feed stations will be provided in the 6th, 10th and 15th kilometer and in the finish area.

Our objective is to reduce the environmental impact of our event and to propose a « Clean Race ».

To help us achieve this goal, your bottles of water will have to be thrown away in the containers provided for this purpose. Targets will help you to get it right. And don’t forget that when you registered, you have agreed not to throw your rubbish on the course.

You will enjoy the Bois de Boulogne over about 4km, along the Allée de Longchamp and the Allée de la Reine Marguerite.

Leaving the Bois de Boulogne, you will follow Roland Garros along the Boulevard d’Auteuil, then, at the Porte Molitor, you will take the Boulevard Murat to go to the Porte de Saint-Cloud roundabout. This new portion will be much more rolling, with fewer turns and a short downhill to get to the banks.

Then you will follow the River Seine to the Pont Royal, passing by Trocadéro, Le Grand Palais, Place de la Concorde and Les Tuileries garden.

After crossing the River Seine,  you will run along the banks up to the Quai Branly.

 

L’édition 2020 sera une édition très hétéroclite. Vous serez encouragés par des cornemuses, des DJ, des percussions et bien d’autres instruments encore… vaste course musicale de 20km en pays breton, bavarois, brésilien… Tous les kilomètres, une animation vous accompagnera dans vos efforts et, à l’arrivée, les pompoms vous redonneront le sourire pour passer la ligne.

The village

The village of Les 20 km de Paris is a place for meetings and exchanges between runners, partners and exhibitors. 35,000 visitors and 50 exhibitors meet for 2 days in a festive and friendly atmosphere.

The association “20km de Paris” (an association constituted in accordance with the French law of 1901 concerning non-profit organizations), was registered to the Police Prefecture on 14 August 2015.

The object of this non profit charitable organization is to organise and promote “Les 20 km de Paris” sporting event, as well as sporting and cultural activities.

To prepare this event, the president is assisted by an organizing committee of about twenty people (employees, volunteers and service providers) who work throughout the year.

THE EDITORIAL

Dear friends,
Under a beautiful automn sun, the race held all its promises, just like the second edition of « Les 20 kids de Paris » with 600 young runners from 7 to 11 years old who really enjoyed themselves in the Champ-de-Mars back alleys.

The presence of our godfather, starred Chef Thierry Marx, allowed us to celebrate gastronomy, sport, pleasure and health. Numerous feedback has underlined the quality of our organisation and the association spirit of our race.

The entire 20 km de Paris team would like to express its sincere thanks to all the runners, volunteers, partners and service providers, who have been instrumental in the success of this great autumn running festival in Paris.

With 30,000 participants every year, the race has proven its worth. Les 20 km de Paris organizing committee and its partners will continue to do everything possible to make a this race ever more friendly, modern and sustainable.

In the meantime, I wish you a very good sports season. Don’t forget to take advantage of our training sessions as soon as springs arrives, so that you can be at your best for the day of the race.
