Rules

Art. 1: LOCATION, DATE AND NATURE OF THE COMPETITION

The 20 km race in Paris is an international non-stadium race at the IAAF Silver label with a distance of 20 kilometers (one loop) through the streets of Paris West and the Bois de Boulogne.

The race will take place on Sunday, October 11, 2020. The departure takes place Warsaw Square at 10:00. The arrival is Quai Branly (facing the Eiffel Tower).

The course of 20 km de Paris is in accordance with the rules of events outside the stadium (IAAF and FFA).

Art. 2: ORGANIZER

Under the auspices of the Paris City Hall and with the assistance of the Paris Prefecture of Police, the 42nd edition of the 20 km de Paris is organized by:

Art. 3: CONDITIONS OF PARTICIPATION

Participation in the event is subject to:

A- Age Rating

The event is open to riders with or without license, from the junior category, born in 2002 or before. It is expressly stated that the riders participate in the competition under their own and exclusive responsibility.

B- Medical certificate

In accordance with Article 231-2-1 of the Sport Code, participation in this event is subject to compulsory presentation:

– either a Athlé competition license, Athlé company, Athlé Running option, or a ‘I like Running’ pass issued by the FFA valid on the date of the event.

Attention: the other licenses issued by the FFA (Health, Leader and Discovery) are not accepted;

– or a sports license valid at the date of the event, issued by a federation only approved (list in Appendix of this regulation), on which must appear, by any means, the mention of no contraindication to the practice of competitive sport or running (or athletics) in competition;

– for non-licensees, at the presentation of a medical certificate, mentioning the non-contra-indication to the practice of running (or athletics) in competition, dating from less than a year to the date of the race. No other document can be accepted to attest to the possession of the medical certificate.

The licenses issued by the delegate federations, ie the Olympic and non-Olympic single-sport federations (and in particular the Triathlon or Orienteering federations) even bearing the mention of the non-contra-indication to the practice sports in competition or running (or athletics) in competition, will not be accepted.

Foreign athletes, even if they are fired from an IAAF affiliated federation, must provide a medical certificate in French (or with a translation in French if written in another language).

Attention: riders are asked to send to the organization, the copy of their medical certificate obligatorily stating the mention of no contraindication to the practice of running (or athletics) in competition and to preserve the ‘original (it is usable for other tests) and, as far as possible, to have it on oneself during the withdrawal of the bibs in order to settle any possible disputes which can meet (readability, expiry, etc.).

Articles L.231-2 and L.231-3 of the Sport Code and the law of 5 April 2006 on the fight against doping and the health of athletes oblige all French or foreign riders to provide proof their ability to run in competition, aptitude justified by a medical certificate.

C- Right of registration

The registration fee, which includes participation in the race, the souvenir t-shirt and the souvenir medal, is:

– 39 € for the first 3,000 bibs; – 42 € for the first 3,000 bibs; – € 45 for the next 6,000;
– 49 € for others.

Specific rates are set up for groups (companies, solidarity or non-profit associations, clubs, etc.) according to the group closing dates. Contact us for more information.

Promotional offers may be offered.

D- Bib

The athlete must wear, visibly throughout the entire competition, the bib provided by the organization.

Art. 4: REGISTRATION

A- General

Registrations are open from November 25, 2019. All registrations are firm and final and can not be refunded for any reason whatsoever, except for licensed runners, holders of Annual Pass Like Run or an Event Pass I like Running valid. 

B- Athleteshandisports “Armchair”

Wheelchair athletes are accepted, except those of the “Handibyke” type considered as cycling cyclists. r Handisport Federation. Wearing a helmet is mandatory. The chair must have a braking device.

A separate ranking of the general classification will be established.

C- Athleteshandisports “Standing”

Handisport athletes “Stand Up” are accepted. A separate ranking of the general classification will be established.

D- Joëlette

The participation of joëlettes is allowed. They will be positioned initially in a dedicated SAS. The joëlettes will leave in a single wave after the Yellow SAS. Notwithstanding the recommendations of the FFA, the number of chaperones is limited to 8. The person in the joelette, as well as the chaperones will have an identical bib number. Only the bib of the joëlette will be equipped with a chip and will be classified.

E- Cancellation

If you are a FFA license holder, holder of an Annual I Like Run Pass or a I like Running Pass, you will automatically receive a cancellation insurance. The conditions of application of this insurance are described in the documents provided by the intermediary who offers this insurance (here the FFA). Where applicable, requests for the application of the cancellation insurance must be sent exclusively to the intermediary offering this insurance.

Art. 5: REMOVAL OF DOSSARDS

The bibs are to be removed, on presentation of an identity document accompanied by the withdrawal voucher, at the event village on Friday, October 9, 2020 from 10:00 to 20:00 and Saturday, October 10, 2020 from 10:00 to 19:00. When the medical certificate or the license have not been provided and validated by the 20 km de Paris, you must present one of these documents when collecting the bib. The bib of a competitor may be given to a third party upon presentation of the copy of the identity document of the competitor.

Warning: No bib will be distributed on Sunday, October 11, 2020.

Bib transfer

All commitment is personal, firm and definitive. No transfer of registration is allowed for any reason except for the official platform for the resale of bibs

duly accredited by the 20km from Paris. Any person retroceding his bib, even free of charge, to a third person will be recognized as responsible in the event of an accident occurring or caused by the latter during the event. The organization declines all responsibility in the event of an accident in this type of situation.

Art. 6: SPORTS RULES

The competition takes place according to the sports rules of the FFA.

A- Jury

The jury is composed of FFA officials, under the authority of one or more off-stage official referees. Any claims may be made in accordance with federal procedures. Their decisions are without appeal.

B- Concurrent

Any outside help, including out-of-area refueling, is prohibited.

C- Follower

No follower is accepted, under penalty of disqualification.

D- Hour Limits

Participants have a maximum race time of 2h50 to complete the course from their start time. After the passage of the end-of-race vehicle, competitors must comply with the traffic rules of the Highway Code

E- Timing

The timing system used is the B-Tag (Chronotrack): a chip, in the form of a strip, is glued to the bib. Intermediate timings are performed every 5 kilometers. In order for your time to be validated on arrival, you must run the entire race on the road and have validated your time on all the intermediate timings.

All entrants will be given a bib with an electronic chip (tape stuck behind each bib) which will be automatically initialized on the starting line and will serve as a race regularity check every 5 km. A competitor not traveling on the road will not be classified on arrival.

F- Headphones

Headphones or earphones are authorized under the responsibility of the rider. However, for obvious security reasons, the organization strongly discourages the use of ear buds that may interfere with listening to your own environment during events.

Art. 7: INSURANCE

The organizers subscribe an insurance covering the consequences of their civil liability and those of their agents. Proof may be provided to any participant who requests it. This guarantee will intervene in addition or in the absence of other insurance which could play elsewhere.

Except if they have given up, the FFA athletes are covered by a “personal injury” insurance. It is strongly recommended to other participants to take out an individual accident insurance, covering the bodily injury to which their sporting practice can l

to exhibit (Article L. 321 of the Sports Code).

The organizer declines any responsibility in case of damage (theft, breakage, loss, etc.) suffered by the personal property of the participants, even if he has custody. Participants will not be able to turn against the organizer for any damage to their equipment. The subscription of an insurance guaranteeing these risks is the responsibility of each one.

Art. 8: CLASSIFICATIONS AND AWARDS A- Rankings

It will be established at minimum a men’s scratch classification and a women’s scratch classification.

There is a ranking for each category defined by the French Athletics Federation. The riders will receive their scratch classification and their classification in their category. In addition to these official categories, a ranking according to the international categories defined by 5-year-olds will be indicated on the race diploma.

There is a separate ranking for “Wheelchair” athletes and “Standing” athletes.

B- Rewards

It will be awarded a cup to the top 3 scratch ranking categories “Man” and “Woman”. It will be awarded a cup to the first 3 of the competition Handisports “Armchair”. It will be given to all comers a souvenir medal and a diploma to download.

C- Bonuses

The price grid for the earnings bonus is as follows:

E- Publication of the results

The results are published on the website of the 20 km de Paris. The provisional results on Sunday afternoon (day of the race) and the final results and official under a week.

In accordance with the so-called “Informatique et Libertés” law, the participants can oppose the publication of their result on these sites in case of legitimate motive (for the FFA, to make directly the request to the electronic address cil @ athle. fr).

Art. 9: REFUELING

Three refueling points are distributed on the course installed approximately every 5 kilometers, as well as a refueling on arrival.

Art. 10: SAFETY AND CARE

Road safety and medical safety adapted to the number of competitors and the duration of the race are ensured on the course. Health services may decide to disqualify a competitor for medical reasons.

A- used tracks

The competition is partly held on roads open to traffic, competitors must imperatively take the right side of the road.

B-Competition Security

The “Secours” device put in place is provided jointly by the Civil Protection Paris Seine and the SAMU. This device is subject to the approval of the Paris Police Prefecture.

C- Zoneder retrieval

At the Emile Anthoine stadium, there is a recovery area with physiotherapists and chiropodists.

Art. 11: EXCLUSION

The demonstration of the 20 km de Paris is prohibited to all gear wheel (s), excluding those of the organization or accepted by it, and animals.

Art. 12: RIGHT TO IMAGE

By registering for the 20 km from Paris, you expressly authorize the Association Club des 20 Km de Paris and its beneficiaries (such as partners and media) to use or have used or reproduce or reproduce your name, your image , your voice and your sports performance as part of the sporting event for any direct exploitation or derived form of the event and this, in any medium, worldwide, by all means known or unknown to date and for the whole period of protection currently granted to these direct or derived exploitations by the legislative or regulatory provisions, the judicial and / or arbitral decisions of any country as well as by the current or future international conventions, including for possible extensions which could be made to this duration.

Art. 13: PERSONAL DATA

Collected data

By registering for the 20 km from Paris, you are asked to provide a certain amount of data and information, especially when you register. These data make it possible to identify you, directly or indirectly, and can be considered as personal data within the meaning of the applicable regulations. the protection of personal data.

In general, the personal data provided by the participants are intended for staff authorized by the 20km Paris Club Association who may be members of the Association or a company providing the data processing service (timekeeper, bib printer) , registration manager, communication agency, …).

The Association Club des 20km de Paris collects this data, for specific purposes, in accordance with the applicable legal provisions and with your consent, and in particular for the purposes of:

· Allow creation, management and access to your account;

· Provide the information and options chosen

· Allow the processing, the follow-up and the management of your inscriptions to the various editions 20 km from Paris;

· fight against fraud;

· Allow the management, modification and improvement of the services offered by the Club Association 20 km from Paris;

Results:
At the end of the 20 km from Paris, the information related to your sports performance (including your result, your photos and videos, your evolution on the course) are published on our website www.20kmparis.com. Your sports results will also be published on the website of the French Athletics Federation. If you wish to oppose the publication

of your result, you must expressly inform us at results@20kmparis.com and the FFA at the following e-mail address: dpo@athle.fr. Your results associated with your name, first name and region are also likely to be picked up by any media.

Follow your race on the course
By choosing to participate in the 20 km de Paris, participants recognize that their evolution on the course will be accessible by any user who has downloaded the application “Chrono Course” and on the site of the event, the timing chips to detect your passages every five (5) kilometers approximately. You acknowledge that any user of the application or the internet may be able to follow you, by providing your name and / or first name and / or bib number.

Opposition
If you wish to oppose such publications for a legitimate reason, you must communicate this decision to the Association Club des 20km de Paris at the address rgpd@20kmparis.com, before the event and at the latest thirty (30) days before the latter so that the appropriate measures are taken.

Data Sharing
The 20km Paris Club Association may share data about you with third parties. If you have ordered through us products or services to our partners, the Association Club des 20 km de Paris can share your data with the relevant partners to satisfy your request. These third parties may send you communications, correspondence, e-mails.

If you subscribed when you registered for the order of an option of a Partner 20 km from Paris that we offer (a product or service for example), these partners may send you communications, correspondence or emails.

Finally, the 20 km Paris Club Association may share the Data you submit to its suppliers, service providers, subcontractors or members of the association responsible for certain tasks on our behalf. The data is hosted in France.

Art. 14: CODE OF GOOD CONDUCT

The competitor undertakes on honor not to anticipate the start, to cover the full distance before crossing the finish line and to ensure that his bib, placed on the chest, is fully legible during the race. .

Art. 15: ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION

Any abandonment of equipment, any throw of waste out of the places envisaged for this purpose will entail the exclusion of the competitor at fault.

Art. 16: FORCE MAJEURE

In case of force majeure, the organizer may at any time end the event. Participants will be notified by any means they can, and they must strictly adhere to the organization’s guidelines. Failure to comply with these instructions will de-facto end the responsibility of the organizer. The participant will not be able to claim any refund, nor any indemnity in this respect.

Art. 17: CANCELLATION

The organizer reserves the right to cancel the event either at the request of the administrative authority or in case of force majeure. No compensation can be paid in this respect.

Article 18 – LITIGATION

Any complaint, with a view to an amicable settlement, must be made in writing to the organizer at the following address: Association Club 20 km from Paris – 16 bis, Avenue Prieur Côte-d’Or – CS 40300 – 94114 Arcueil Cedex. This request must be accompanied by a stamped envelope for the answer, prepared with the name and address of the recipient, within 30 days after the race. Any dispute must be filed in the competent court.

Art. 19: ACCEPTANCE OF THIS REGULATION

The competitor accepts without reservation the present rules.
